I am available for private tuition for wheel-throwing and hand building projects. I specialise in the therapeutic aspects of working with clay and offer group bookings as well as individual appointments.

One-on-One Wheelthrowing - at your place

This is a service I provide when people have their own pottery wheels set up at home and want to learn there.  I currently charge a flat rate of 75 dollars per hour, with a one hour minimum per booking. I am currently in the western suburbs of Adelaide and able to travel.

One-on-One Wheelthrowing - at my place

This is a service I offer to past students or acquaintances (as a safety measure). I have a wheel and home studio in which I am able offer personal tuition. I charge 60 dollars per hour for this service and there are limited spots available.

Typical 8-week wheel-throwing courses in Adelaide start around $350 and go up towards $500. At around 40-50 dollars per session, classes can contain up to 12 other participants, with one (or maybe two) tutors on hand, getting timely help from an expert can be difficult.  Trust me - one on one tuition can be completely pot-changing! I have around 20 years’ experience, have worked as a teacher for over ten years and continue to have my own arts practice. I love helping people realise their vision, or discover something entirely new and unexpected. The process of working with clay can be truly transformative, and a lot of fun along the way.
